Semester-long fellowship (Fall & Spring) for teams of educators to deepen their teaching practice utilizing an inquiry based approach. Each semester focuses on a specific element of the Agency by Design framework.

This year, we’ve partnered with OUSD’s Dept of School Improvements and launched our Living Schoolyards fellowship to explore with a diverse group of educators: How might we redefine play and learning when utilizing our outdoor spaces?

AbDO Signature Teacher FEllowship

Launched in 2017 as our signature program, this fellowship is designed for a community of creative educators to elevate their teaching practices with a focus on maker-centered learning.

This year’s inquiry question: How might Maker-Centered Learning support both belonging and academic thriving?

APPRENTICESHIp program: Healing-centered leadership

A year-long fellowship for educators of the global majority to develop and elevate leadership and facilitation skills. Fellows gain concrete facilitation skills while honoring and discovering their identity, values, joy and healing.
